Description
Ensculked adds the Ensculked origin, humans whom have ripped out their own souls to gain immortality, And now possess sculk to form a body.
Note: This origin is made for a smp, and thus requires multiplayer for a few core features. TLDR: Not intended for singleplayer!
Power list:
Powers
Spectre: Since you lack a physical body, you cannot die properly (without permakills). Instead, when you die, your body gets destroyed and you must seek out some sculk to get your host reconstructed.Host: Nonplayer: Since your host is not a player, some things may change, such as nametags not showing, different sounds. And so on...
Soul conductor: Since your host is made from sculk, it is great at conducting souls. Due to this, you can use them for abilites, or increasing stats. Every time you kill a mob, you get one soul.
Soulless: Your host lacks any sort of true origin, due to this, you are prevented from using a orb of origin, are classified as undead, and cannot eat food
Host: Ensculked: Since your host is made from sculk, most normal actions that would usually cause a vibration, don't. Aswell, some other stuff also doesn't act normally, because your biology is none existent. Don't forget! you are a pile of walking sculk.
Pacts: Technically not a power, but good enough to be mentioned. You are able to craft the Pact item. Give it to a non-ensculked or a non-pacted and they can sign it. They will get a few perks, but cannot hurt you. Essentially becoming a puppet. (Creates a written pact, which can be used to create strong weapons)
No betrayal: Those who have made a pact with you cannot hurt you. It would be counter productive, wouldn't it?
Host: Soul fueled: Instead of having hunger, your max health will slowly drain. Kill mobs to restore it.
Eidolonification: Inflict the Eidolon effect for 10 seconds on hit, slowly draning xp from the victim.
Ensculked are also unable to talk, since this is a more intrusive change, i've put it here
Next of all, this origin isnt gotten in a normal way. Instead, this origin must be earned. To get it, you must use a sculk potion as a human, which is then going to transform you into a ensculked. The potion can be crafted using a catalyst core and a potion (catalyst cores can be gotten by combining one severed tendril (dropped from a warden) and 8 catalyst fragmnts (occasionally dropped from catalysts).)
Aswell, unlike other origins, this origin also adds multiple items and most importantly: Weapons!
As a ensculked you can craft weapons, see their tooltips and also use them.
Weapons
Soul snatcher: The soul snatcher is the cheapest of the 3 weapons. Easily made and has no special functions, just a slightly stronger netherite sword.
Claw of Damocles: The Claw of Damocles is the most diverse weapon of the origin, being slightly more on the costly side (costing one written pact) and being able to dash, do lifesteal and inflict wither and blindess. Combine that with a fast attack speed and a lot of damage and you get a formidable Weapon.
Praetorian: The Praetorian is the strongest, most heavy hitting out of the 3. It also costs 2 Written pacts and deals a ton of damage on hit but with a very long attack cooldown. Hitting mobs with this will infect them.
Sculk Mouth: Technically not a Weapon, but worth mentioning. This will allow ensculked to speak.
Relevant topic: infection: infection is dealt by the praetorian and causes a mob to slowly get consumed by sculk, eventually causing them to be overwhelmed and transforming into a infected variant of themselves (this means they just have a special ability and a sculk overlay). They will spread sculk passively without your input.
Mutations
Mutations are methods that a ensculked can use to change their pactee of choice into new Suborigins with diverse Powers.-
Messenger (Currently the only Mutation) Messengers are Created via a Messengarium which can be used by a pactee to become a Messenger. Messengers are Glass Cannons with flight and a emphasis on moving fast.
Mutation: Ensculked Your body feels significantly more different than usual. Mutation: Aerodynamics Your body is unreasonably light, squishy and fitted for extremely fast movement. Doesn't take any fall damage. Jumps higher and walks faster. Mutation: Soul is Fuel You cannot heal or eat naturally. Instead, you must hit to regain health and food. Mutation: Armorless You obtain no defensive beneffits from armor. (armor stat capped at 0) Slam Slam into the ground. Quickly resetting your momentum. Dash Quickly Dash in a direction, Resets your momentum. Parry Immune to damage for 5 ticks, +5 health if attacked during time period and damages attacker.
The origin itself is a bit more on the overpowered side, as its intended for a smp with a different level of balance than the original game.
