Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ModDex ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you live in the European Economic Area (EEA), you must be at least 16. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You may only hold one account; creating additional accounts to evade a suspension or otherwise circumvent these Terms is prohibited.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you must not harass others, post spam, attempt to break security, scrape the site in a way that harms performance, or upload any harmful content.

User content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including reviews, written text, and any images you attach. By posting such material, you grant ModDex a non-exclusive, perpetual license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the Service. All submitted content, including images, is subject to the same content standards described in these Terms and the Community Guidelines.

Moderation

We may restrict or remove content or accounts that we believe violate these Terms, or the Community Guidelines, or otherwise harm or disrupt the community or the service at our discretion with or without warning.

API access

ModDex provides a public API for personal and non-commercial use. You must not use the API to resell data, build competing products, or send requests at a volume that degrades the service for others. We may revoke API access at any time for any reason.

Third-party platforms and content

ModDex displays information about content hosted on third-party platforms. That content remains subject to its respective platform's terms and licenses. ModDex is not responsible for any third-party content displayed, including but not limited to information, links, or software.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

ModDex is not an official Minecraft service and is not approved by or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ModDex and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data.

Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms. If changes are material, we will provide notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the country in which the ModDex maintainers reside, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. We will replace this with a specific governing-law clause once a formal operating entity is established.
