Refined item interactions - actively maintained with ongoing fixes and improvements

Interactic Renewed is a maintained fork of Interactic by glisco, kept up to date with bug fixes and support for current Minecraft versions. Many of its features are inspired by ItemPhysic, but built from the ground up for Fabric.

Features

All features can be individually toggled in the config.

Fancy Item Rendering

Items spin while falling, at a speed that changes depending on how fast they fall. When on the ground they lay flat and compact into stacks.

Enhanced Pickup and Tooltips

Pick up items by right clicking them, even from a few blocks away. When looking at an item entity, its tooltip is rendered below your crosshair.

Item Filter

The Item Filter is a special item that lets you finely control which items you want to automatically pick up. Configure it to use either a whitelist or blacklist - items affected by the list require explicit pickup via right click or by sneaking. You can also globally disable auto-pickup in the config to force all items to be picked up explicitly.

Item Throwing

Hold down the drop key to throw items. The longer you hold, the further you throw. Items with a damage modifier (swords, axes) will deal damage when they hit a mob after being thrown.

Client-Only Mode

Interactic Renewed can be used in a mode where it automatically disables all server-side features, giving you only the enhanced rendering and tooltips without needing the mod on the server.

Bug Fixes over the original

• ItemFilter slot removal ignored the amount parameter - always deleted the entire stack regardless of how many were requested. Fixed to properly handle partial removals.
• ItemFilter inventory changes were not saved - changes to the filter inventory could be lost on world reload. Fixed.
• Deprecated block outline shape API - updated to the correct modern API, removing a deprecation warning.
• Mixin compatibility level was incorrect - corrected to the proper Java version for each Minecraft version.
• Item filter UI always registered on client startup - screen and networking now only register when the item filter feature is enabled in config.
