Description
Mansion Redux
A mansion overhaul datapack which brings the woodland mansion up to date with several major changes to it
Changes
Spoiler
- Overhauled the generation system, varied shapes and layouts
- Big changes to the room variety
- More focus on the illager, remove the spawning of other hostile mobs in the mansion so the experience can focus on the illagers
This pack doubles as tech demo of multiple techniques in structure generation for datapacks it features
Datapack tricks used
Spoiler
- A system to generate outer walls regardless of the shape and layout of the overall structure
- Loot placement all dependent on coded rules
- Rooms composed of multiple pieces and rules to give block variety
- Base supports that stretches down similar to the old prior to jigsaw structures (this have been in used by DnT for over a year)
Regardless of the datapack being more of a tech demo for myself, I made sure to keep it fun and refreshing to play with
