About
Description
This datapack adds the ability to tame Ocelots and keep them as pets.
The taming mechanics are identical to that of Cats: feed them fish, and they'll follow you around. You can also tell them to sit and breed new pet ocelots.
== Technical Details ==
This pack replaces naturally-spawning Ocelots with a new Cat variant that simply uses the ocelot skin (so no resource pack is required!) These cats spawn in jungles in place of ocelots, and are otherwise functionally identical to regular cats.
Since actual Ocelots no longer spawn naturally, breeding two of these ocelot-type cats will count toward the ocelot requirement in the "Two By Two" advancement.
Ocelot Spawn Eggs from the creative inventory, as well as the command /summon ocelot, will spawn regular, non-tameable ocelots. To summon a Tameable Ocelot, use this command:
/summon cat ~ ~ ~ {variant:"conures:ocelot"}
For a Tameable Ocelot Spawn Egg, use this command:
/give @s ocelot_spawn_egg[entity_data={id:"minecraft:cat"},cat/variant="conures:ocelot"]
