Description
Primitive Start
Primitive Start is a mod that changes the way you start a world in Minecraft. By design, a normal world starts by spawning in, looking for a tree and punching it with your fists. No longer.
Primitive Start adds new items and tools which allows the player to get their first axe without punching a tree. Now when punching a tree it will take longer to mine and no longer drop logs, unless using an axe, or Primitive Start's flint hatchet.
How to Get Started
In a new world without any other mods, the easiest way to start, is to break leaves until you find sticks, break gravel until you find flint, and use those to craft a flint knife.
Then break grass or ferns with the knife in order to obtain plant fiber. Craft 3 of them in your inventory to obtain twine. Now combine another stick, flint, and the twine you just made to create a flint hatchet. Finally you can use that hatchet to chop down your first tree.
Compatibility
Primitive Start was designed with compatibility with other mods in mind, specifically by removing the ability to punch modded logs as well. However, Primitive Start has not been tested with other mods yet, as testing occurs each mod will be added to a list of compatible mods.
