Description

The last minecart mod you'll ever need!

I love Splinecart by FoundationGames and Forkcart by ImplicitSaber adds some nice features too, but they don't work together which is annoying, so I thought, why not combine them! So that's what I did, it's all the normal Splinecart features with added bugfixes, QOL changes, and some Tracks and Ties from Forkcart, as well as some of my own additions!

Here's a basic rundown, but if you want more in depth information, check out the Wiki

How it works:

*Instructions Directly ripped from Splinecart

  • Place a Track Ties block on any face of another block. (Yes, any face)
  • Right click the track ties to rotate them.
  • Important: Track ties have a "forward" direction, as indicated by the sequence of dark arrows on the block. This determines which direction outgoing tracks will originate from, and incoming tracks will end in.
  • Place a second Track Ties block in an appropriate orientation, elsewhere.
  • Use a Track item on the first Track Ties block, and then on the second one to create a track connecting them. The order that you click on each track tie block matters.
  • Use vanilla rails to run a minecart into the first track tie block.

When it comes to tracks, input and output are attached to the UPCOMING tie, that means if a minecart is on a track, it gives comparator output to the Tie in front of it only, and with Magnetic/Station tracks, redstone signal must be given to the Tie in front only, the Tie behind will not do anything.

Track Ties:

Function like rails but can be placed on ANY surface

  • Default: Regular old Ties
  • Shuttle Ties: When not powered, will push a minecart in reverse. If powered, acts as a normal Tie.
  • Split Ties: Can have two track outputs. Can change between output paths via redstone. (Only supports default and default invisible tracks directly attached to it)
  • Merge Ties: Can have two track inpus. Always merges, but can change between backwards input paths via redstone. (Only supports default and default invisible tracks directly attached to it)
  • Invisible variants: Same as the above three listed, but now they're invisible! (Hold any invisible item in your hand/off-hand to see the Ties)

Tracks:

First click one tie, then the next, and it connects the two! You can always click another block to cancel selection. Make sure to take note of track ties direction (look at the arrows).

  • Default: Regular old Track
  • Chain Drive Track: Pulls minecarts along at a constant speed
  • Magnetic Track: When given a redstone signal, launches minecarts along (related to signal strength). When given no signal, slows minecarts down.
  • Station Track: When given a redstone signal, slowly pushes minecarts along (related to signal strength). When given no signal, stops minecarts.
  • Invisible variants: Same as the above four listed, but now they're invisible! (Hold any invisible item in your hand/off-hand to see the Tracks)

Extra Stuff:

Minecart too loud? Don't Worry! Now if you place down a wool block anywhere from 1-3 blocks underneath it, that minecart will shut up.

Sometimes you really want to guide the viewer's eye during a ride, particularly slow moving ones, so I added the ability to do that.

Similar to wool, simply place the turning block 1-3 blocks below the track and the cart will turn while moving. The cart will always return to moving forward if no block is present.

Note that while 360 degrees do exist, they don't actually rotate the minecart 360 degrees, they are simply for parity and edge cases.

All turning degrees are relative to the NORMAL TRACK ORIENTATION

Turning blocks:

Clockwise:

Light Gray Concrete - 90 degrees
Light Blue Concrete - 180 degrees
Lime Concrete - 270 degrees
Pink Concrete - 360 degrees

Counter Clockwise:

Gray Concrete - 90 degrees
Blue Concrete - 180 degrees
Green Concrete - 270 degrees
Red Concrete - 360 degrees

*Note that both wool and concrete effects are based on minecart positioning so is really only meant to be used for flat/relatively-flat rides and coasters.

Armourer's Workshop

If you want to make a Custom Cart Model, you can! You can install Armourer's workshop and using the Advanced Skin Builder to make a custom minecart skin!

(This is a bit advanced, but if you can figure it out, it's pretty cool)

Liscensing Stuff: I know I already set a license, but just to be explicitly clear, you can use this mod at any time or in any modpack, feel free to edit it and make it better if you want, I really don't mind, and if the splinecart/forkcart mod authors didn't allow for that we wouldn't be here right now anyways, so it'd be kinda lame to limit mine.
