About

Description

Intends to alter the game to be an amalgamation of old Minecraft, current Minecraft and a pinch of Terraria with the purpose of making the game more enjoyable and removing features which I personally consider disrupting or annoying.

Old Minecraft

Nostalgic Tweaks, Golden Days & the Programmer Art Continuation Project. These by themselves already re-add all desireable features of old minecraft while also removing a major annoyance. For more details you probably should just look into the Nostalgic Tweaks mod.

Highlights:

  • removing the hunger bar
  • better textures (imo)
  • sword-blocking
  • no attack cooldown

Current Minecraft

Not much to say here. Except for things disabled by Nostalgia Tweaks everything else is retained E.g. Ancient Cities and Trial Chambers exist unchanged.

Terraria

This currently involves Inventory management related annoyances. In the future I intend to add a Terraria inspired game progression through selected modded bosses and corresponding gear.

Highlights:

  • 9999 max stacksize
  • no durability

Considering the current lack of a Goal, if you're like me and can't play a pure sandbox for more than half an hour, this might be enjoyable played as though it were a roguelike. From personal experience I recommend challenging a Trial Chamber with a friend.
