Description

SMP Mods

This is the server pack for SMP Mods, a group of mod packs made to enhance the SMP experience and make it more enjoyable.

This pack is built upon the mods in the Hermitcraft server with a few additional mods and added features.

Features of the SMP Mods

Players can still join without the client pack, but the features added by the server pack won't work without it. So, you should probably have your players install it: SMP Mods Client.

How to Set Up SMP Mods On fork. (windows only)

  1. Download and Install Fork
First, download Fork from here and run the .exe file to install it.

  2. Install Java
After installing Fork, you may be prompted to install Java. Click on one of the provided links and follow the instructions to install Java. I recommend using the Microsoft link, as it’s the easiest option. Once Java is installed, restart Fork.

  3. Download SMP Mods Server Files
Next, download the .zip file of the SMP Mods server. Important: Do not download the .mrpack file, as it’s not the same. Make sure to get the .zip file directly from the version page.

  4. Extract the SMP Mods Files
Navigate to your downloads folder, right-click on the downloaded .zip file, and select Extract All... Click Extract and wait for the process to complete.

  5. Copy the Extracted Files
Once the extraction is complete, select all the files and press Ctrl + C to copy them.

  6. Create a Fabric Server in Fork
Open Fork and click "Create A Server." Select "Fabric" as your server type, and make sure the version matches the SMP Mods version you downloaded. Name your server and click the anvil icon on the left to create it. Note: We’re not using Fork’s "Import Server" option because it can be buggy. You can ignore all other settings, as they’ll be reset when we import the SMP Mods files. You can adjust them later if needed.

  7. Import SMP Mods Files into Fork
On the left side of Fork, click the gear icon. In the settings menu, you'll see blue text that says "Open in File Explorer." Click it. Select everything in that folder, delete it, and then press Ctrl + V to paste the SMP Mods files.

  8. Start Your Server
You can now exit File Explorer and start your server by clicking the play button in Fork.

  9. Find the IP and Allow Friends to Join
To find your server's IP address and configure it for friends to join, follow this tutorial: YouTube Guide.

How to Set Up SMP Mods on ATLauncher

  1. Download and Install ATLauncher
First, download ATLauncher from here. If you need help installing it, you can follow this tutorial.

  2. Find SMP Mods Server
Once ATLauncher is installed and opened, navigate to the "Packs" menu and search for the SMP Mods Server pack.

  3. Create the Server
When you find the SMP Mods Server pack, click "Create Server."

    • A pop-up will appear asking if you want to create a server; click "Yes."
  • Name the Server and Choose a Version
You’ll be prompted to name your server and select the version you want to install. After naming and selecting the version, click "Install."

  • Download the Server
ATLauncher will begin downloading the necessary files for your server. Once the download is complete, click "OK" to proceed.

  • Open the Server Folder
Go to the "Servers" menu in ATLauncher, find your newly created server, and click "Open Folder."

  • Accept the EULA
In the server folder, locate the eula.txt file and double-click it to open.

    • Find the line that says eula=false and change it to eula=true.
    • Save the file by pressing Ctrl + S on Windows or Command + S on Mac.
  • Launch the Server
Close the text editor and the server folder. Then, go back to ATLauncher and click "Launch" to start your server.

  • Configure Server IP for Friends
To find your server's IP address and make it accessible to friends, follow this tutorial.
