About

Description

What is Vanilla Max?

It is my vision of what Minecraft could be without Microsoft and Mojang limiting what enters into the game, without losing the sandbox aspect and remaining simple, using the vanilla crafting systems as much as possible and only introducing systems that are simple and intuitive to understand for any player.

What motivated me to create this was that even though there are mods and modpacks that add many layers to the game, they are often overly complex making it difficult even for veteran Minecraft players to understand its mechanics, which causes them not to engage with those systems. Vanilla Max brings its many features in a natural, seamless way into the game for any player to enjoy as they like, and has something in it for all kinds of players!

Features

  • One-click multiplayer with proximity-based voice chat!
  • Airships and aircraft that can be crafted comprehensibly through the crafting table and have intuitive controls
  • Ships - you no longer will be able to traverse oceans with simple boats though!
  • Carts for you to transport stuff on land by yourself or with a friendly help from horses, mules, donkeys or camels
  • Backpacks and sleeping bags to enable you to explore further away from home without fear of going back to spawn or filling your inventory
  • Vinery and winemaking
  • Several new mobs - passive and hostile - including the ones that lost all mob votes!
  • Lots of new food
  • New cooking system for more complex recipes
  • Many new crops
  • Improved fishing and various new kinds of fish
  • Trinkets with some pretty interesting effects
  • Several new small and larger structures
  • Many revamped structures from vanilla
  • Revamped Minecarts that can be linked and go much faster
  • Elytra has a trinket slot instead of taking up the chest slot
  • Revamped archeology - and a new villager job with it!
  • Cameras and photography!
  • Guard villagers that can assist the player during raids and zombie attacks - and also attack misbehaving players
  • Gunpowder weaponry: cannons for land, ships and airships, as well as flintlock guns - but they can also be in Pillager's and (rarely) Skeleton's hands!
  • Completely revamped End and Nether dimensions
  • Backported wolves, tuff building blocks, crafter and bundles from 1.21
  • Copper hoppers and pipes for better storage arrays and redstone machinery
  • Lots of brand new decorations and furniture
  • Many new wood types
