Description
Acedium Sodiumized
Acedium Sodiumized is an unofficial NeoForge 1.21.1 fork of Acedium, updated for Sodium 0.6.x and Sodium 0.8.12-beta.1.
It replaces Sodium's default terrain renderer with a specialized Nvidium-style NVIDIA renderer. This can improve performance at high render distances or in terrain-heavy scenes, but it may not help if terrain rendering is not your bottleneck in a given scenario.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1.x
- Sodium 0.6.x (for the 0.3.x releases) or Sodium 0.8.12-beta.1+ (for the 0.4.x alpha)
- NVIDIA GTX 1600 series or newer
Unsupported GPUs, including AMD, Intel, and older NVIDIA cards, cannot use the custom renderer. In that case, the mod should stay inactive and Sodium's normal renderer is used.
Limitations
- Iris shader packs disable the custom renderer. This is expected.
- Compatibility may be worse than standard Sodium because this mod replaces Sodium's terrain renderer and depends on less commonly used NVIDIA OpenGL extensions.
- Only NeoForge 1.21.1 is currently targeted.
