ADCustom Colossal Bosses

Fight colossal enemies alone or alongside other players. Learn their attack patterns, avoid incoming strikes and look for opportunities to damage exposed weak points.

Operators set up encounters by placing boss keystones in prepared arenas. Approaching a keystone in Survival mode starts the encounter and gathers nearby eligible Survival players for a cinematic introduction. Combat begins when the camera returns to your first-person view.

Getting started

  1. Install the mod on the server and every connecting client, or in your client for singleplayer. Prepare a clear arena with enough room for the boss and its attacks.
  2. As an operator, use /colossalbosses keystone to obtain an encounter trigger. Follow the placement and space requirements in the README. Only operators can place or break keystones.
  3. Approach the keystone in Survival mode to begin. Nearby eligible Survival players join automatically.

Each placed keystone starts one encounter. To start another, defeat or remove the existing nearby boss, then have an operator break and replace the keystone. The mod does not generate arenas or clear terrain.

Requirements

Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.233 or newer, and Java 21. Install on both the server and every connecting client. No companion mods are required.
