ADCustom Discord Relay

Chat with Discord users from Minecraft and share public chat between servers connected to the same Discord channel. Each server can have its own prefix, making it clear where a message comes from. Cross-server chat uses normal Discord messages, such as ***[Survival]*** Alex: Hello!. Private messages and team chat stay out of the relay.

Allow selected Discord roles to run approved Minecraft server commands from a configured channel. Operators choose the allowed commands and permission level. Remote commands start disabled. When several servers share a command channel, use different command prefixes to target them individually.

Edit server settings through the operator-only /discordrelay config server window. Players with the client mod can use /discordrelay config client to customise chat colours and formatting, hide Discord and cross-server chat separately, and enable notification sounds. Personal settings affect only that player's view.

Optional join and leave notices keep Discord informed when players connect or disconnect. The relay runs inside the Minecraft server and needs no separately hosted bot program. It normally checks Discord every two seconds and skips existing messages after a restart or reconnect. Discord may show the bot as offline while the relay is operating.

Install the mod on each participating server. Players can receive server-formatted relay chat without installing the client mod. The client mod provides the settings windows and personal controls.

Getting started

  1. Install the mod on your server and on your client for the settings windows. Create a Discord bot, enable Message Content Intent, and give it View Channel, Read Message History and Send Messages permissions in your chosen Discord text channel.
  2. Join as an operator and run /discordrelay config server. Enter the bot token and channel ID, enable the relay, then save. To link servers, configure the same Discord channel on each server and choose a distinctive server prefix.
  3. Configure allowed Discord roles and command roots before enabling remote commands. Players can open /discordrelay config client to adjust their own chat appearance, visibility and sounds.
