Description

IMPORTANT: For cables to have recipes you must have a mod installed that adds the proper ingots (copper, tin, silver, nickel, enderium, steel). Substratum and Thermal Foundation both add all of those ingots so I'd recommend installing one of them.

This is a mod I made because I felt that transferring RF was kind of uninteresting. This mod fixes that problem by adding cables that work slightly differently from regular cables. The differences are:

- They have power loss (see table below for individual losses)

- They don't store power (unlike other cables which act like mini batteries)

- They melt if you put too much power into them (configurable)

- They will shock entities if they're not covered

Cable Tiers (all values are configurable):

- Tin: Can transfer 32 rf/t, no loss

- Copper: Can transfer 128 rf/t, 1 rf/b loss (1 rf/b covered)

- Silver: Can transfer 512 rf/t, 3 rf/b loss (4 rf/b covered)

- Gold: Can transfer 2048 rf/t, 5 rf/b loss (6 rf/b covered)

- Pink: Can transfer 8192 rf/t, 15 rf/b loss (18 rf/b covered)

- Ender: Can transfer 16,384 rf/t, 18 rf/b loss (21 rf/b covered)

- Fibre-Optic: Can transfer 65,536 rf/t, 70 rf/b loss (can't be covered but won't shock you)

- High-Voltage: Can transfer 100,000,000 rf/t, 300 rf/b loss (350 rf/b covered)

(cables are capable of transferring both RF and Forge Energy)

Planned features:

- TESLA support

- Crafting recipes (use crafttweaker for now) added

- Enormous multiblock tesla coil (maybe)

- Configuration for loss and capacity added

- Multipart compatibility

- 1.11.2 update

Tips:

- Use shears on wires to disconnect them

- Breaking or disconnecting uncovered cables while they're live will shock you

Warning: This mod is in beta, back up your worlds and be wary of crashes.

Modpacks: You may use this mod in any modpack however you like as long as you give me credit. All I ask is that you don't make any money off of it and that you inform me that you're using my mod in your pack (I won't be mad if I find out you didn't contact me but I would like to know if my mod is being used in any packs).
