Description
Finishers
Even though I've done so much work, this mod is still in alpha, so beware of bugs!! Finishers adds cinematic kill animations to Minecraft combat.
Instead of every enemy just falling over, some kills can turn into short animated takedowns with custom camera work, screen shake, dust, debris, sound effects, and impact flashes.
Features
- Cinematic kill finishers
- Attacker and victim animations
- Multiplayer support
- Quicktime events for player victims
- Custom camera movement and FOV changes
- Screen flashes, camera shake, dust, craters, cracks, and impact effects
- Custom finisher sound effects
- Different finisher behavior depending on the mob shape
- Right-click stair sitting animation
Finisher Chance
Mob finishers are not guaranteed with every kill.
- Normal mob kills have a 20% chance to trigger a finisher.
- If you just got a mob finisher, the chance temporarily drops to 2% to stop finishers from happening back-to-back too often.
Player finishers are handled differently from mobs.
If a player is caught in the first finisher, the victim gets a QTE every time. They must press M1 / R1 four times during the prompt to block the attack and push both players away.
Mob Support
Humanoid mobs use paired attacker/victim finishers.
Simpler or oddly shaped mobs use different logic so the animations do not completely break on bodies that do not match the humanoid rig. Some mobs are excluded from certain finishers if their model does not fit.
Multiplayer
For servers, install the mod on both the server and every client that should see or perform finishers.
Stable Release Note
The Ultimate Attack is not included in the stable release. It is experimental/debug content and should not be expected in the normal jar.
