Advanced Solar Panel

Advanced Solar Panels is a modern port and adaptation of the classic Advanced Solar Panels mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge.
The mod brings back advanced solar generators, solar-powered helmets, the Molecular Transformer, and the Quantum Generator. The original IndustrialCraft 2 energy system has been replaced with Forge Energy, so IC2 is not required.
Features

Advanced Solar Panels
The mod includes four tiers of solar panels:
Advanced Solar Panel
Hybrid Solar Panel
Ultimate Hybrid Solar Panel
Quantum Solar Panel

Higher-tier panels provide increased power generation, internal energy storage, and output limits.

Solar panels can also generate reduced power at night. Generation depends on access to the sky, time of day, and weather conditions.

Solar Helmets

Three solar-powered helmets are available:

Advanced Solar Helmet
Hybrid Solar Helmet
Ultimate Solar Helmet

When equipped, they can:

Generate energy from sunlight
Store energy internally
Charge compatible energy items in the player's inventory
Provide armor protection by consuming stored energy
Restore air for the Hybrid and Ultimate variants

The protection system is based on the behavior of the original IC2 version, adapted for Minecraft 1.20.1 and Forge Energy.

Molecular Transformer

The Molecular Transformer is a high-energy machine used to transform materials into other resources.

Example transformations include:

Netherrack → Gunpowder
Sand → Gravel
Dirt → Clay
Glowstone Dust → Sunnarium Part
Industrial Diamond → Diamond
Metal and gem transformations through Forge item tags

Some recipes can automatically support materials added by other mods through Forge tags.

The Molecular Transformer has full JEI integration.

Quantum Generator

The Quantum Generator is a creative-only energy source intended for testing machines and power networks.

Its GUI allows you to adjust:

Energy production
Energy tier

It can also be disabled with a Redstone signal.

The mod uses Forge Energy compatibility, allowing its machines and items to interact with other mods that support the standard Forge Energy capability.

Energy is displayed in the mod as KE.

JEI Support

Just Enough Items (JEI) is supported but optional.

JEI provides a dedicated Molecular Transformer recipe category where you can view:

Recipe Notice

Not all crafting recipes from the original mod have been recreated in this port.

Some items and blocks may intentionally have no default crafting recipe. Feel free to create, modify, or rebalance recipes to fit your own playstyle, modpack, or server progression.

You can make the recipes as easy, difficult, or expensive as you like using datapacks, KubeJS, CraftTweaker, or other recipe customization tools.

The Molecular Transformer recipes included with the mod are already available through JEI.
