About

Description

Have you ever wanted to be able to use the number of advancements a player has completed as scoreboard objective in Minecraft? Now you can!

Usage

This mod is intended for dedicated servers. Clients do not need this mod to work correctly.
Zero configuration is required for a standard install. Install the mod, and as soon as a player receives any advancement, you should see the advancements objective appear in the scoreboard objectives list. By default, the mod will catch up a player's score as soon as they complete any one advancement.

If you want to actually display the scoreboard values somewhere, here are some examples:

  • In the Player List: /scoreboard objectives setdisplay list advancements
  • As a Sidebar: /scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar advancements

Configuration

There are two configuration values in advancementstats.toml to be aware of:

  • excludeRecipes (default: true): Minecraft considers each crafting recipe unlocked as an individual advancement (though players do not receive pop-up notifications for them). If this option is set to true, such recipes will not be considered as part of a player's score. If you want to encourage players to try and 100% your server instance, consider setting this to false.
  • doLazyAccounting (default: false): Configures the behavior of Advancement Stats when a player completes an objective. When this value is set to false, the mod will recalculate a player's full score every time an advancement is completed. In most cases this should not be a problem, but if you need to get a tiny bit more performance out of your server, consider setting this to true.
