RECOMMENDED MODS TO PLAY WITH

Mini-boss Boss Bars (all mobs supported by Mini-boss Boss Bars automatically get supported by this mod too, unless a supported mob gets disabled manually in the former's config)

With this mod, killing bosses will have a text banner flash across the screen notifying you of your success in doing so, akin to those seen in Soulsborne games. Supports both vanilla and modded bosses.

Things to note:

  • The vast majority of bosses supported by this mod requires a player kill in order to trigger the notification banner. Bosses that are unable to detect player kills upon death are tagged under #adversary_felled:ignore_player_kill_detection to bypass this.
  • The notification banner is broadcasted to players within an 80-block radius of the final position of the boss prior to being slain with some exceptions such as the Ender Dragon and Cracker's Wither Storm. Any other boss that exists within the same radius also prevents the notification from being broadcasted until all are cleared.
  • All bosses tagged under #c:bosses or #forge:bosses get supported automatically. However, this mod manually integrates support for those that don't or can't for any reason. Modded entities typically get registered under #adversary_felled:registered_bosses for developers looking to omit tagging their bosses under #c/forge:bosses for again, any reason.
  • For developers looking to omit support from this mod for any boss, tag it under #adversary_felled:boss_exception via a data pack.
