Description

All-Mobs-Explode: Fabric Edition

Turn ordinary Minecraft mobs into walking explosives!

When an eligible mob approaches a player, it primes like a creeper and explodes after a configurable delay. AllMobsExplode also includes optional ranked Ender Dragon speedruns with live timers and local leaderboards.

Features

  • Nearby mobs automatically prime and explode
  • Configurable activation radius, fuse time, explosion power, fire, and block damage
  • Optional line-of-sight requirement
  • Enable or disable explosions without restarting
  • Manage excluded mobs using in-game commands
  • Make normally safe entities—including arrows, boats, and minecarts—explode
  • Preserve normal mob drops, death events, and player kill credit
  • Creepers and Ender Dragons remain permanently excluded
  • Optimized entity scanning with configurable detonation limits
  • Command suggestions and automatically saved settings
  • Supports dedicated servers and singleplayer
  • Optional client-side custom speedrun timer

Compatibility

  • Minecraft: 26.2
  • Mod loaders: Fabric and Quilt
  • Required dependency: Fabric API
  • Tested Fabric API version: 0.155.2+26.2

The mod is required on the server but optional for players joining that server.

Without the client mod, active speedruns use Minecraft’s scoreboard timer. Installing AllMobsExplode client-side adds the custom top-right timer and allows the mod to work in singleplayer.

Installation

Dedicated server

  1. Install Fabric Loader or Quilt Loader.
  2. Install Fabric API.
  3. Place the AllMobsExplode JAR inside the server’s mods folder.
  4. Start the server.
  5. Use /ame help to view the available commands.

Players can join without installing AllMobsExplode on their clients.

Singleplayer or optional client features

  1. Install Fabric Loader or Quilt Loader.
  2. Install Fabric API.
  3. Place AllMobsExplode inside the client’s mods folder.
  4. Start Minecraft.

Commands

/ame and /allmobsexplode are equivalent.

Explosion controls

  • /ame start — Enables mob explosions
  • /ame stop — Disables explosions and clears active fuses
  • /ame status — Displays the current status
  • /ame reload — Reloads the configuration
  • /ame help — Displays the command menu

Mob exclusions

  • /ame exclude add <mob> — Prevents a mob type from exploding
  • /ame exclude remove <mob> — Removes a mob exclusion
  • /ame exclude list — Lists excluded mobs
  • /ame exclude reset — Restores the default exclusions

Extra exploding entities

  • /ame include add <entity> — Makes a normally safe entity explode
  • /ame include remove <entity> — Removes an included entity
  • /ame include list — Lists included entities
  • /ame include reset — Clears the inclusion list

Examples:

/ame include add arrow
/ame include add oak_boat

Optional Ranked Speedruns

The speedrun system is completely optional. Nobody is timed unless they deliberately start a ranked run.

A ranked run begins with /ame run start and finishes when the player defeats the Ender Dragon.

  • /ame run start — Starts a ranked run
  • /ame run reset — Abandons the current run
  • /ame time — Displays the current time or personal best
  • /ame leaderboard — Displays the fastest local completions

Ranked runs require:

  • Survival mode
  • A non-Peaceful difficulty
  • A fresh, unused world
  • No operator or administrative powers
  • Only one player online
  • Explosions and speedruns enabled

Starting a run clears the player’s inventory, armor, Ender Chest, experience, effects, and previous survival progress.

A run is invalidated by administrative assistance, Creative or Spectator mode, gameplay-changing commands, relevant setting changes, reused worlds, switching worlds or seeds, or another player joining.

Completion records include the player, completion time, seed, difficulty, Minecraft version, platform, explosion settings, and completion date. Records are signed and tamper-evident.

Operators can manage speedruns using:

/ame speedrun
/ame speedrun status
/ame speedrun toggle

Operators must de-op before participating in a ranked run.
