Allayed

Holding an Allay Tool near an Allay grants you flight. It also causes exhaustion.

Right-clicking on a block while using an Allay tool will allow you to place the block in the adjacent slot. Convenient for building & mining. Allay tools, when enchanted with Silk Touch, also have the unique ability to pick up containers (chests, furnaces, barrels, etc.), similarly to how you can pick up Shulker Boxes.

A plasma magnet can be crafted as shown. The Plasma item is obtained by smelting Allay or Vex tools in a furnace. Placing the item magnet in your offhand will allow for all mined block drops to instantly be inserted into your inventory. This is convenient for both building and mining. Fortune, Silk Touch, and any other enchants/modifiers also apply. When mining a container (chest, furnace, barrel, etc.) that contains items, the plasma magnet can not function. The exception to this is when using an Allay Tool that has Silk Touch.

Captured Allays (Allays that spawn in structures such as Outposts and Mansions), will now have a chance to be marked as 'infected'. There is no way to identify if your newly obtained Allay is infected. After 1 to 7 in game days, infected Allays will be converted into Vexes.

While the new Plasma item can be used for crafting a Plasma magnet, Plasma can also be used to trade with Cleric villagers and Wandering Traders. Cleric villagers now have a new master trade, which takes 2-3 Plasma for a totem of undying. While Wandering Traders will trade 1 Plasma for 12 emeralds.

Along with the new Allay toolset, there is now also two new Vex weapons. Instead of Vexes spawning with Iron Swords, they will now spawn with either a Vex Sword or a Vex Axe (with the Vex Axe being more rare). These two new weapons do not have the benefits of Allay weapons but can be smelted to obtain Plasma.
