About

Description

Inspired by The Offhand Mod and based on Simply Dual Wielding, I introduce: Ambidextrous!

With this mod, your hands behave identically.

Both hands are on the hotbar; there is no offhand slot.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

  • A modifier keybind is added to the menu, in the same section as your attack/use and pick block keybinds.
    • This modifier keybind is unset by default. If it is unset, or the 'invert action priority by crouching' option is on, crouching will execute the same behavior for most things.
    • When I say 'invert' here, this refers to how some items have a 'use' action and some do not, and this key switches which is used. Default behavior is to pass through the 'use' action method before attacking; this key bypasses that and instead attacks immediately. there is an option in the config to switch the default behavior.
    • There is a list option in the config that allows you to invert certain items. This is layered with the invert bind; if both are active, the default behavior will be active.
    • The invert key is also how you cycle through the hotbar with your offhand. It will also move all actions that would normally be performed on the main hand selector's slot (such as 'pick block') to the offhand selector's slot.
  • If you turn on the 'invert key toggle' option, this only toggles behavior for inventory management.

I plan to extend the inventory by 4 slots to allow for a 10-slot hotbar. This is not here yet; it will be accompanied by matching UI changes.
