About

Description

This mod changes beacons to give amethyst a unique, useful purpose. If you're looking for something to use your chest full of amethyst blocks on, look no further.

  • Amethyst Beacons: Amethyst blocks are the only block that works as a beacon base, and amethyst items are required to activate beacons. The beacon GUI gets a visual update to make this more obvious.
  • Craftable Nether Stars: Don't want to fight all the Withers required for a full set of beacon effects? If you have one nether star, you can craft more with wither skeleton skulls and a diamond block. You still need the skulls, but you can pay some diamonds to avoid the extra time and risk that comes with actually spawning and slaying the Wither.
  • Expanded Range: Beacon ranges are expanded to 35/50/65/80 blocks to make them just a bit more attractive, especially for larger builds. You can change the beacon's base range and the additional range per level in a config file.
