AnglerXP

AnglerXP is a client-side fishing progression layer for The Pen (play.thepen-mc.net). It quietly watches what you reel in and turns it into levels, a collection book, badges, milestone titles, unlockable HUD themes, and a prestige system — purely as a personal overlay.

It is cosmetic and informational only. It does not change what the server gives you, does not automate fishing, and does not send any data anywhere — all progress is saved locally on your own machine.

What it does

• Tracks every catch. Detects fish as they enter your inventory and identifies all 71 of The Pen's species, coloured by rarity (Common → Legendary).
• Earns you XP and levels with a small streak bonus for back-to-back catches.
• Collection book (press J): every species you've caught, sorted by count, with lifetime totals, best streak, and total time spent fishing.
• Badges per species — Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond — with thresholds that scale by rarity, so commons are a long grind and rare fish badge up sooner.
• Milestone titles from Novice up to Legendary Angler as you level.
• HUD themes unlocked by level (Ocean, Forest, Sunset, Midnight, Prestige Gold). Cycle them with the arrow keys in the collection screen. A theme recolours the fishing HUD, the XP bar, and your in-game interfaces.
• Prestige at level 75: a full rebirth that wipes your progress in exchange for a prestige rank shown on your title (e.g. Master Angler ✦II), three exclusive prestige-only themes (Abyssal, Crimson, Void), and a permanent Legacy viewer so you can look back on every past life.
• Celebration toasts for new discoveries, badge tier-ups, level-ups, and treasure catches.

By default the mod stays completely out of the way: fresh players (and each fresh prestige) see plain vanilla Minecraft until they choose a theme.

Why download it

If you fish on The Pen, AnglerXP gives the grind structure and goals — something to chase beyond the raw catch — without touching the actual game. It's a personal scoreboard and a way to make your HUD your own.

Before you download — please read

• Made for The Pen. The fish list and rarities are specific to that server's custom fishing system, so the mod has little use anywhere else.
• Client-side only. Install it on your own client; it is not a server mod and gives no gameplay advantage to install.
• No data leaves your PC. Progress is stored locally in config/anglerxp.json.

• replaceXpBar — recolour the vanilla XP bar and level to your theme (default: on)
• tintInterfaces — apply the theme tint to all GUI screens (default: on)
