Description
Animactor
Clone any online player into a poseable actor and animate them frame-by-frame — right inside Minecraft, no external rigging tools needed.
Animactor turns a plain armor stand into a stand-in for a real player: it wears their skin, you pose its limbs, record keyframes, and play back a smooth animation. Built to pair with Horror Cinema Tools — running /cinema play will animate your actor alongside the camera automatically.
Features
- Player cloning — spawn an armor-stand actor wearing an online player's skin with one command.
- Pose control — rotate head, body, arms, and legs independently, in degrees.
- Keyframe animation — record a sequence of poses and play them back with smooth interpolation.
- HorrorCinema integration —
/cinema playtriggers your actor's animation automatically, alongside the camera flythrough. Works standalone too; nothing breaks if HorrorCinema isn't installed or you haven't copied an actor yet.
Commands
/animactor copy <player>— clone an online player into an actor at your current position/animactor pose <part> <x> <y> <z>— instantly rotate a body part (degrees). Parts:head,body,left_arm,right_arm,left_leg,right_leg/animactor key add— record the actor's current pose as a keyframe/animactor key clear— clear all recorded keyframes/animactor play <ticksPerSegment> [loop]— play back the recorded pose animation/animactor stop— stop playback/animactor remove— despawn the actor
How to use
- Have the player you want to clone online, then run
/animactor copy <player>where you want the actor to stand. - Pose the actor for your first frame with
/animactor pose <part> <x> <y> <z>(repeat per body part), then run/animactor key addto save it. - Adjust the pose (and position, if you move the actor) for the next frame,
/animactor key addagain. Repeat for as many frames as you need — at least 2. - Run
/animactor play 40 [loop](adjust the number for slower/faster transitions) to play the pose animation. - Filming a scene with Horror Cinema Tools? Just build your camera path as usual and run
/cinema play <ticksPerSegment> [loop]— the actor's animation starts automatically alongside the camera. - Record your screen with any external tool (OBS, etc.) while it plays.
Requirements
- Fabric Loader
- Fabric API
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- My other mod is "HorrorCinema" (optional, for combined camera + actor playback via
/cinema play)
