Antica is a mod developed by Hex (AKA HexTheSlime, HexGaming or HexGamingOnYT)_ that adds new building blocks such as marble, more variants of the gold block, new structures and a new music disc.

Marble

Marble is a new block type that can occassionally replace stone, similar to blocks such as diorite, andesite or granite. It only generates between Y coordinates 0 and 64, so don't go looking for it in some obscurely high mountains.

Marble - Crafting

Marble only generates in the form of Rough Marble, although it can be polished using a grindstone or crafting table. By placing 4 Rough Marble in a square pattern (like the one used for a crafting table) or putting it in a grindstone, you can obtain Polished Marble which can be crafted into Marble Pillars (by placing 2 Polished Marble above each other) and Chiseled Marble (by once again placing 4 Polished Marble in a square pattern). You can also obtain Ornate Marble by placing a Polished Marble block in the middle of a 3x3 crafting grid and putting 4 gold ingots in the corners. Finally, you can craft a Marble Lantern by putting a gold ingot, a lantern and 1 polished marble in a crafting grid (this recipe is shapeless - it will work no matter how you arrange the crafting ingredients). A Marble Lantern emits the same amount of light as glowstone. Additionally, if you are going for a more ancient vibe, you can combine 2 Rough Marble and 2 vines to craft Mossy Marble.

Gold Block Variants

Apart from Marble, Antica also adds new variants of the Gold Block (or Block of Gold if you wanna be fancy).

Gold Block Variants - Crafting

As of v0.3, there are only two custom variants for the Gold Block, these being the Gold Pillar (crafted by placing 2 Gold Blocks above each other, similar to the Marble Pillar) and the Ornate Gold Block (crafted by placing 4 Gold Blocks in a square pattern).

Note: As of right now, the Gold Pillar crafting recipe returns 4 Gold Pillars instead of 2. This is a known bug and will be fixed in v0.4.

Structures

Antica also adds brand new structures that utilize the new block types. One of these structures is the Marble Plaza, which contains the brand new Respite music disc. This music disc can be obtained from the Jukebox in the middle of the structure and is only 17 seconds long.
