AO Apotheotic Additions Port (Unofficial)

The original’s licence: its CurseForge page states the MIT License (https://opensource.org/license/mit). Its own mod metadata (META-INF/mods.toml in Apotheotic Additions 2.2.2) states the Academic Free License v3.0 (https://opensource.org/license/afl-3-0-php). Both are open-source licences that allow derivative works. Both licence texts are inside this mod’s JAR and its source ZIP (LICENSE: MIT, which also covers this port’s own code and textures; LICENSE.AFL-3.0), together with NOTICE.md, which credits Bryce792 / MCreator and the original project.

Unofficial NeoForge 1.21.1 port of content from **Apotheotic Additions** by **Bryce792**, made for Apotheosis 8.9.0.

## How this port differs from the original
- **Platform:** the original is for Minecraft **1.20.1 and 1.19.2** (Forge and NeoForge). Its latest file, V2.2.2, is from 6 April 2025, and it has no 1.21 file (its CurseForge page, checked on 19 Oct 2026). This port is for **Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.252+, Apotheosis 8.9.0**, rebuilt for that Apotheosis version.
- **Textures:** **all 42 textures are new artwork** made for this project: 37 gems, the four rarity materials and the Sigil of Awakening. **No texture of Apotheotic Additions is included** (none of this file's images matches one of the original's). The four material icons are 32x32 animated sprites; the rest are 16x16.
- **Adapted, not copied:** the gem and affix data, item models and English names are adapted from the original. They are re-written for the 1.21.1 data formats and Apotheosis 8.9.0: new resource namespace, operation names, loot categories and weights. No data file of the original is included unchanged, and none of its Java code.
- **What of the original is in this file:**
  - the Artifact, Heirloom and Esoteric rarities;
  - **37 of its 71 gems** (those whose mods are in the Ambient Odyssey pack, including its crafted boss gems);
  - **22 of its 118 attribute affixes and 74 of its 264 other affix files**;
  - the recipes that make them obtainable.
- **What is not included:** the original's bosses and minibosses, gear sets, gateways, rogue spawners, wandering-trader trades, enchanting-table stats, its Silent Gear and Capsid compatibility data, and its gems and affixes for mods that are not in the Ambient Odyssey pack.
- **Added by this port:**
  - a new **Ancient** rarity (below Artifact) and its material;
  - **ten gem tiers** (the six stock purities plus Ancient, Artifact, Heirloom and Esoteric) with an upgrade recipe;
  - the crafted boss gems are made with the port's **Sigil of Awakening**;
  - loot entries that let modded gear roll at the new rarities.
  - The rarity-material item first called "Odyssey Pearl" is now named **Ancient Material** (name only).
- **Changes to Apotheosis:** mixins extend the stock Apotheosis gem tiers, the gem case and the salvaging screen. The four rarity materials are added to the Apotheosis rarity-materials tag. This file does not disable any Apotheosis affix.
- **Apotheosis:** the port re-emits the stock Apotheosis affix definitions under its own ids for the four rarities. This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apotheosis or its author.

## Requirements
Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.252+, Apotheosis, Placebo, Apothic Attributes. Environment: client and server.

## Source
The complete source is attached to this file as an additional file, `ao-apotheotic-port-0.4.8-prototype-kit2-source.zip`. It contains the module source, `LICENSE`, `LICENSE.AFL-3.0`, `NOTICE`, the texture generator scripts and the Gradle wrapper; build instructions are in `SOURCE_README.txt`.

## AI disclosure
The textures were made with an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) under the owner's direction, as hand-written drawing code. No pixels were taken from Apotheotic Additions, Apotheosis, vanilla Minecraft or any other mod. Parts of the port's code and data conversion were also written with that AI model's help.
