About

Description

WARNING! Do not "install and forget". This mod can cause irreversible damage to your world's environment. See details below.

Features

Parasite Spawn

Currently the mod features one type of monster not found in the vanilla game and that is the Parasite Spawn. It resembles a pink silverfish except this nasty little creature is the reason that your world will become a catastrophic mess over time.

Parasites will spawn naturally in the overworld unless you disable it in the config (Mod Menu is recommended.)

When a parasite spawns in it will seek the nearest mob and attempt to infect it, turning it into an infected variant.

Infectious Moss

Infectious Moss or Brain Moss or Infectious Brain Moss is a nasty pinkish block that will generate naturally in the world and try to overtake all natural blocks around it, eventually depleting your natural resources like trees. It will also spawn parasites on it from time to time leading to an overall bigger problem!

The moss can be contained with unnatural blocks such as wooden planks or glass.

Moss generation can be turned off in the config but you should do this before entering or creating a world. (Always be sure to restart your game after applying any setting)

Infected Mutation

Certain infected mobs will mutate the mobs they infect, giving them overall greater stats as the infected mobs survive longer and create larger hoards.

Will you port this to xyz version?

As time allows the mod is planned to be available for all versions leading up to the latest version. 1.16.5 is the oldest version of the game the mod will support, so please do not ask for ports to older versions.

Can I use this in a modpack?

Absolutely. Credit is appreciated but not mandatory.

Will there be more features added later?

Absolutely. As I see more time there will be more non-vanilla monsters and even air and aquatic variants to make sure nowhere is truly safe.

Now go and try to hold out for as long as you are able!
