Applied Delight

Available for NeoForge Install on Client and Server

Applied Delight in a kitchen

Applied Delight adds one block, the ME Cooking Pot, a Farmer's Delight cooking pot that pulls its ingredients straight from an Applied Energistics 2 network.

Place it over a heat source, link it to a Wireless Access Point, and it cooks any Farmer's Delight recipe using items stored in your ME system. It bridges two mods you already run: Farmer's Delight does the cooking, Applied Energistics 2 provides the ingredients.

The ME Cooking Pot

Built from a Farmer's Delight cooking pot. It sits dark until it has a job, then its circuitry lights up while it cooks.

What it does

  • Cooks real Farmer's Delight recipes. Every cooking-pot recipe works, including ones added by other Farmer's Delight add-ons. It needs a heat source below it, exactly like the vanilla Farmer's Delight pot.
  • Draws from your network. Open the pot and browse a recipe panel that lists every cooking-pot recipe, each with a live count of how many you can make right now from your inventory and your ME network combined. Search, sort A–Z, or filter to only what you can craft.
  • Batch cooking. Click a recipe to load one serving, or shift-click to load as many as the ingredients, the pot, and its battery allow. Once loaded, the pot owns everything it needs and just cooks, you can walk away.
  • Ingredients come from you first. The pot uses your own inventory before touching the network, and only network pulls cost power. Milk and water can be drawn from the network's fluid storage when no bucket or bottle is stocked.
  • Powered your way. The pot carries a battery that only pays for network access. Top it up in an AE2 Charger or any FE charger, or run an energy cable (Mekanism, Flux, any Forge Energy transport) into the side of a placed pot so a stationary kitchen pot stays charged. Carry it and it runs on its stored charge.
  • Serving is on your terms. Finished meals wait in the pot until you supply their container, by hand, or with a button that requests it from the network. A second button returns everything to storage.

Getting started

  1. Craft an ME Cooking Pot from a Farmer's Delight cooking pot.
  2. Place it on a heat source (campfire, stove, etc.).
  3. Link it to a Wireless Access Point on your network.
  4. Charge it, open it, and pick a recipe.

Crafting

ME Cooking Pot crafting recipe

Combine a Farmer's Delight cooking pot with a few Applied Energistics 2 parts. The exact recipe is always visible in JEI, EMI or REI, and in the in-game guide book.

Requirements

Requires Farmer's Delight and Applied Energistics 2 for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge). Jade, The One Probe, JEI, EMI, REI and Patchouli are supported but optional.
