Arachnophobia Mobs

This mod adds a small collection of freaky spider mobs, each with their own mechanics and features.  This is a very small mod that is intended to be used in a future pack of mine called Arachnophobia.  These mobs mostly spawn in the overworld with one spawning also in the End.  I may add more variants in the future if I come up with more ideas, right now this is just throwing cool spiders out to fill in some gaps for the modpack.

BOOMIDER

Much like a creeper they slowly creep up behind unsuspecting players to blow them up!  The main difference though is they are much faster in their explosion.

BRAINEATERS

Braineater Infants start off small and unassuming but if you let them get ahold of a villager they consume the brain and gain a new body...

MATURE BRAINEATER

Never quiet, Mature Braineaters are a horrific offshoot of the base variant.  It attacks relentlessly, firing off red orbs of energy (Which you can attack) that can turn your internals into liquid to consume.  The only way to prevent this is to make a new potion of Solidification using their Abdomen Membranes.  This prevents any of their projectiles from infecting you.

MOONCALLER

Mooncallers appear with their bright and flashy blue fur and orange accents, they hold their abdomen low until they see a player.  Once they do they start to perform a dance with it, casting a spell that calls the night itself!  If it is allowed to finish its call the time immediately shifts to night and it becomes dark again and all spiders resume their aggression!  Listen for chittering in the nearby area...
