Arcana - Lootr Compatibility

One adventure. A spell-book chance for every player.

An optional compatibility addon for Arcana and Lootr that makes Arcana's spell-book discovery work with personal loot.

Why use it?

Lootr gives each player their own container inventory. Arcana normally tracks its spell-book chances across a structure, so the first player can use up a chance that later players should have received in their own Lootr inventories.

This addon gives each player an independent Arcana book-roll record when Lootr generates their personal loot.

What it does

• Personal spell-book chances: another player's visit does not consume your opportunity to discover an Arcana book.
• The same progression: existing drop rates, spell ranks and reward choices stay intact.
• Persistent results: each player's used chances are saved with the world.
• No repeat rolls: reopening or refreshing a container does not reset that player's Arcana structure limit.

A book roll is a chance to find a spell book, not a guaranteed reward. Each player still follows Arcana's existing limit for each structure and book-rarity group.

Existing worlds

Previously generated personal inventories keep their contents. The addon applies when an eligible personal Lootr inventory generates; it does not add books retroactively to inventories already opened by that player.

Ordinary containers keep their existing behavior, and Arcana's ruin pedestals remain shared world rewards.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1.232 or newer · Java 21

• Arcana 0.1.x, with its required libraries.
• Lootr (Forge & NeoForge), version 1.21.1-1.11.38.126 or newer for Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge.

Install Arcana - Lootr Compatibility, Arcana and Lootr on both the server and clients. Follow Arcana's installation instructions for its libraries, including the client-only Player Animation Library.

Lootr is created by Noobanidus and contributors. This is a separate compatibility addon maintained alongside Arcana. Its project icon adapts the supplied Lootr chest artwork with Arcana's emblem.
