Arcane Additions

A growing, vanilla-friendly datapack adding new enchantments and content to Minecraft.

Enchantments

Enchantment Slot(s) Applies To Effect
Bulwark Offhand Shields +2 / +4 / +6 armor (levels I–III)
Fortify Chestplate Chest armor +2 / +4 / +6 armor (levels I–III)
Swift Harness Any Harnesses (all colors) +0.01 / +0.02 / +0.03 flying speed (levels I–III)
Ensnare Mainhand Pickaxes Pick up monster spawners as items (level I)

All enchantments are obtainable through the enchanting table or anvil — no commands required.

Ensnare — pick up monster spawners

Break a monster spawner with a pickaxe enchanted with Ensnare and it drops as an item — fully preserving the spawner's mob type and configuration (spawn delay, spawn count, player range, and more). Place it back down anywhere to restore a working spawner with the exact same setup.

  • Breaking a spawner with Silk Touch alone behaves just like vanilla: no special drop, just XP.
  • Breaking an empty spawner (no mob configured) with Ensnare also drops only XP, since there's nothing to preserve.
  • The dropped item is renamed and labeled to show which mob it contains.

Arcane Additions is actively developed — more enchantments and content are planned beyond what's listed here.
