Arcane Magic

Arcane Magic is a magic-themed mod for Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1 using Forge. It adds a fiery weapon, a rare Nether structure, and a ring capable of creating portals to specified coordinates.

Fire Wand

The Fire Wand launches a fireball when you press the right mouse button. Each shot has a one-second cooldown. The wand has 250 durability and can also destroy the Dark Bricks surrounding the Magic Core.

Fire Wand Recipe

Place the following ingredients diagonally on a crafting table:

• 1 Blaze Rod;

• 1 Gold Ingot;

• 1 Amethyst Shard.

Magic Core

A rare sphere-shaped structure generates in the Nether. Its outer shell is made of Dark Bricks.

In Survival mode, Dark Bricks can only be destroyed with the Fire Wand. In Creative mode, they can also be broken by hand. A chest containing the unique Portal Ring can be found at the center of the sphere.

Use this command to locate the nearest Magic Core:

/locate structure #magic_core

The full command also works:

/locate structure #arcanemagic:magic_core

Portal Ring

The Portal Ring cannot be crafted. It must be found inside the chest at the center of a Magic Core. It has Epic rarity, is fire-resistant, and cannot be stacked.

To open a portal:

1. Hold the ring in your main hand or offhand.

2. Press J.

3. Enter the destination coordinates in the X Y Z format.

4. Press Enter or click the portal button.

A circular fiery portal with a diameter of 3 blocks will appear in front of you. A second portal will open near the selected coordinates. You can travel through the portals in both directions. Both portals remain open for 30 seconds before disappearing.

The mod also adds a separate Creative Mode tab called “Arcane Magic”, containing the Fire Wand, Portal Ring, and Dark Brick.
