Description
ArcLib
Arc UI, rendering, and scripting support for Minecraft mods.
ArcLib brings the Arc framework to Minecraft, giving mods a shared foundation for interactive interfaces, 2D graphics, and JavaScript scripting.
If a mod you use requires ArcLib, install the matching version alongside it. ArcLib initializes automatically and provides the runtime that dependent mods need.
What it provides
- UI components: Buttons, dialogs, text fields, scrollable panels, layouts, and animations for custom mod interfaces.
- Minecraft integration: Connects Arc interfaces to Minecraft's rendering, fonts, mouse, and keyboard input.
- JavaScript support: Includes a Rhino-based scripting environment for mods that use JavaScript to build tools or extend their functionality.
- Shared utilities: Collections, math, file handling, serialization, and lifecycle events for mods built on Arc.
- Dedicated server support: Provides a runtime for server-side logic without requiring a graphical environment.
The features you interact with in-game are provided by the mods that use ArcLib.
Supported versions
| Minecraft | Mod loaders | Required Java |
|---|---|---|

Installation
- Install a supported mod loader for your Minecraft version.
- Make sure your instance uses the Java version listed above.
- Download the ArcLib
.jarmatching both your Minecraft version and mod loader. - Place the file in your instance's
modsfolder alongside the mod that requires it. - On Fabric, install Fabric API for your Minecraft version and use Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer.
- Launch the game or dedicated server.
Install one ArcLib build per instance. For example, a Minecraft 1.21.1 Fabric instance uses arclib-1.21.1-fabric-<version>.jar.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need ArcLib on the client, server, or both?
ArcLib supports clients and dedicated servers. Install it wherever the mod that depends on it requires it. A client-only mod may only need ArcLib on the client; follow that mod's installation instructions.
Do I need to download Rhino separately?
No. ArcLib includes its Rhino JavaScript runtime.
Why don't I see a new menu or new items after installing it?
ArcLib is a library that works in the background. Its UI and scripting features become available through mods that use them.
