About
Description
Arda is a mod that aims to add Middle-earth to Minecraft, inspired by Lord of the Rings mod on 1.7.10.
The mod's features are:
New dimension with unique world generation that allows the world's height to be 4000 blocks tall and has a great variety as it is using a generation system that doesn't use biomes at all.
28 hobbit structures.
8 new species of trees.
Vertical version for the slabs added by the mod.
Planned features:
Full Middle-earth implementation.
Faction system, trading, hiring units, quests.
Skill trees.
New bosses.
Smithing of customizable weapons.
Complex cooking and brewing system.
New fighting system.
Creation and improvement of player's own settlement.
Mod is in Early-InDev stage and have many different bugs.
Currently mod can not guarantee compatibility between versions, and when switching to new ones, items may disappear or world generation may break.
For now mod contain some blocks/items, that will be completely removed or redone in future (for example furniture).
ANY mechanic/texture/model can change.
We know about some world generation issues (catted trees/structures) and chunk update packet delays. We will fix them and rewrite the world generation to its next iteration in near future.
