About
By installing Armor Set Bonuses, every "set" of armor (Iron, Gold, Netherite, etc.) in the Vanilla game gets a unique effect when you have the full set— Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots— equipped together.
The mod works by reading JSON config files from the config/armor sets directory, which is created the first time you launch the game with the mod installed. Don't like the default bonuses? Want a smaller bonus for wearing just one, two, or three items from the set? Want to mix and match, or creae new bonuses for your modded armor? You can change all that in the config!
You can set any sort of bonus you'd like: increase an attribute, such as max health or attack strength; gain a permanent effect while wearing it, such as fire resistance; or even something as niche and extreme as "when wearing a full set of armor and wielding a specific sword, stabbing an enemy inflicts them with wither, but only if it's raining and you're standing on stone." With the newest update, in 1.21.1 you can toggle all set bonuses on and off with a hotkey. In-game, you can identify if a piece of equipment is a part of an armor set by looking at its tooltip.
If you're a modpack creator looking for greater versatility in loadouts, this is the perfect mod for you.
