Ever splashed a stack of XP bottles only to realize your chestplate stole all the experience while your helmet is still on the verge of breaking?

MendWise is a lightweight, 100% client-side quality-of-life mod that monitors your equipped armor, calculates how many Bottles o' Enchanting you need, and guides you to repair your armor pieces to the exact same durability so your full set lasts as long as possible in combat.

⚖️ The Armor Equalizer (Survival Optimization)

In Minecraft, your armor set is only as strong as its weakest piece. The moment your helmet breaks in battle, you lose your protection enchantments and take lethal damage.

• MendWise uses an inventory-driven water-filling algorithm to calculate the highest equal durability your armor can reach using the exact XP bottles in your bag.
• It tells you precisely which pieces to wear and which pieces to unequip so higher gear doesn't steal XP from damaged pieces.

🛡️ Authentic Hotbar Armor Slots & Classic RPG HUD

Choose between two distinct visual styles:

• Hotbar Slots Style: A sleek 4-slot bar styled directly after the vanilla hotbar that docks right next to your hotbar. Displays authentic textured slot cavities, empty slot silhouettes, and color-coded durability numbers.
• Vertical RPG Style: A clean, compact column display with durability numbers.
• Configurable Number Placement: Position durability numbers Above (Top), Below (Bottom), Left Side, or Right Side of each item.

✋ Anti-Waste Throw Lock

• Prevents you from accidentally right-clicking an XP bottle if you are wearing higher-durability armor that would steal XP from low pieces.
• Automatically locks bottle throwing the instant all your equipped gear reaches the calculated balance target (crouch/sneak to bypass).

⏳ Real-Time In-Flight XP Physics

• Tired of over-throwing bottles because XP orbs take time to float to you? MendWise scans the world for flying bottle projectiles and floating ExperienceOrb entities.
• It calculates incoming durability in real time and throttles your right-click so you never overthrow or overshoot your target.

🖱️ Interactive Drag-and-Drop Editor

• Press K in-game and click Edit HUD Position to drag your armor HUD anywhere on your monitor.
• Includes one-click snap presets: Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right, and Snap to Hotbar.
• Use arrow keys (\leftarrow \rightarrow \uparrow \downarrow) for pixel-by-pixel alignment, or toggle Move Pieces to position each armor piece independently.

🔄 One-Click Quick Unequip (U Key)

• When the mod tells you to take off higher armor pieces, simply press U.
• It automatically moves the higher pieces into your inventory so you can focus 100% of your XP on your lowest gear without opening inventory menus.

🎮 Default Keybindings

🌐 100% Client-Side

MendWise works entirely on your client. You can use it on **Vanilla Servers, SMPs, Realms, and Singleplayer without needing server-side installation or triggering anti-cheats.
