Description
ArrowCrates
ArrowCrates is a versatile, config-driven crate framework that brings dynamic, interactive loot boxes to Minecraft! Designed from the ground up for modpack creators and server admins, ArrowCrates supports multiple unique crate behaviors—ranging from quick world interactions to fully animated reward mini-games—powered by simple config files, resource packs, and data packs.
Multiple Crate Types
- Drop Crates: Instant-gratification crates that drop their configured loot table directly into the world when broken.
- Interact Crates: Right-click to trigger opening sounds and effects before dispersing rewards around the block.
- Wheel Crates: Interactive GUI crates featuring a spinning prize wheel! Players press a button to spin the wheel for their configured number of pulls.
- Slot Crates: Casino-style multi-reel slot machine GUIs featuring custom spin timing (
delay), adjustable reel counts (pulls), and matching-reel jackpot multipliers!
How ArrowCrates Works
ArrowCrates splits its functionality cleanly across configs, resource packs, and data packs for maximum flexibility:
- Config-Driven Core: Define all crate parameters—types, drop weights, item counts, command execution, delays, and sound triggers—inside straightforward JSON config files.
- Resource Pack Support: Easily customize visual assets! Supports custom models, textures, blockstates, and full GeckoLib animations for
advancedcrate block types. - Data Pack Integration: Hook into standard vanilla mechanics using data packs to handle block tags (defining required mining tools) and block loot tables (ensuring crates drop themselves when broken).
Key Features
- Flexible Reward Types:
- Item Drops: Dispense items or stacks with full 1.21+ Data Component support (custom names, lore, colors, etc.).
- Command Drops: Execute console commands (
effect give,xp add, etc.) paired with customdisplayItemicons inside animated GUIs.
- Crate Lifecycle Hooks: Execute commands and sound triggers at key milestones:
startCommands: Send opening announcements (tellraw) or trigger particle effects when a player opens a crate.endCommands: Play closing sound effects or trigger secondary reward commands when all pulls complete.
- JEI Integration: Preview drop pools, weights, and potential command rewards directly inside Just Enough Items.
Modpacks & Customization
ArrowCrates was built specifically for modpack developers! Every crate type, model, drop weight, command payload, and sound trigger can be tailored to fit your pack's progression. Feel free to include ArrowCrates in any CurseForge modpack!
