About

Description

On the release of 1.21.1:
Instead of silk-touching portal frames to remove and replace them, this function has been replaced with the "weave" blocks included in Ars Nouveau.

1.3.4 allows double-sided portals to still right-click create temporary portals to their set location.

1.3.1 fixes a bug where portals leave artifacts that make portal recreation fail.

1.3.0 fixes some wand spam because it was annoying me, and adds a new scroll that you can use to destroy one side of a two-sided portal, crafted with obsidian and a stabilized warp scroll in the enchanting apparatus.

Ars Nouveau: Two-Way Portals expands Ars Nouveau’s warp system with permanent, linked portals that work in both directions.

Combine two Stabilized Warp Scrolls in an Enchanting Apparatus to create a Double-Sided Stable Warp Scroll. Record one valid Source Stone frame, throw the scroll into a matching second frame, and the two locations become a connected portal pair. Vertical and horizontal portals are supported, including links between dimensions.

When Immersive Portals is installed, throwing the scroll normally creates a seamless, see-through portal. Sneaking while throwing creates a traditional Ars Nouveau portal instead. Regular portals include a three-second re-entry cooldown to prevent players from becoming trapped in a teleportation loop.

Portal pairs can also be customized after creation:

  • Right-click a symmetrical portal with a Dominion Wand to rotate it and disable gravity transformation.
  • Shift-right-click to rotate it while enabling gravity transformation.
  • Replace frame blocks using Leap, Silk Touch, or an Ars Nouveau Break + Extract spell without destroying the portal.
  • Breaking a tracked frame normally destroys both linked endpoints.
  • Craft a configured Double-Sided Stable Warp Scroll by itself to clear its saved coordinates.

Immersive Portals integration and the major portal features can be controlled through the configuration file.

Requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge, and Ars Nouveau. Immersive Portals is optional. Install on both the client and server.
