Astral Gems brings powerful magic, personal rivalries and a new dimension to Minecraft. Build your own fighting style, defend settlements from moonlit raids, and hunt the bosses guarding the rarest gems.

Find your power

Discover 11 gems, each with its own abilities and way of fighting. Burn through enemies with Ember, pull them into Gravity’s grasp, race through lightning with Storm, or raise an army with Necromancy. Blood, Light, Frost, Moon, Verdant and Cosmic offer their own answers to a crowded battlefield.

Your gems earn experience and grow to level 10. Choose specializations as you level, find rare mythic options, and unlock Ascension and Sovereign abilities: miniature suns, collapsing gravity fields, raging blizzards and towering roots. These powers can leave real craters behind.

The Moon Gem changes with its lunar phases, from a returning silver crescent to a domain of night and a Total Eclipse. At the end of the Astral path, claim the Astral Gem and its winged transformation.

Enemies who remember you

The Moon Knight Nemesis system turns encounters into lasting rivalries. Knights have names, temperaments, weaknesses and histories. Survivors can return scarred, rise through the ranks and learn to resist tactics you keep using.

A defeated knight may flee or kneel. Spare it or finish the fight. A knight who kills you can earn a promotion; one who witnesses a comrade’s death may swear revenge. Track discoveries in the Rivals’ Ledger, and watch for the warning that a familiar enemy is coming back. When a rival dies, it stays dead.

Defend the Gemlins

Gemlin camps have traders, workshops, gardens and residents who work by day and dance around the fire at dusk. When Moon Knights march on their totem, the bell rings and the camp takes shelter.

Break the lantern-bearers’ channeling to protect the totem, fight off the raiders, and face tougher sieges under a full moon. Beyond the camps, Moon Knight patrols roam the night and their walled citadels await exploration.

Cross the Astral Gate

Explore floating islands across the Starlit Expanse, Nebula Garden and Void Reach, each with its own sky, atmosphere and discoveries. Hunt the Astral Dragon and find the Geode of Night, a vast crystal cavern of lakes, waterfalls and suspended lanterns surrounding the Astral Lair.

Defeat the Necromancer, Vampire and Gilgamesh in their strongholds. Their legendary gems are the keys to the seal protecting the Lord of Gems, who waits at the end of your journey.

Bring someone with you

Bond with a Luminos by offering it a gem. Its element shapes how it fights; levels, stat choices and changing forms let it grow alongside you. Meet Fred, the traveller who arrives with a falling star, and follow his optional requests to uncover the story behind the Gemlins, the Moon Knights and the Lord.

Craft Astral equipment powered by Starlight for combat, mining, building and exploration. Carry a Gem Sheath to conceal your gems from hungry Gem Eaters, and use the Astral Codex whenever you need a guide.
