Magical storage, logistics, and autocrafting without turning your base into a computer room.

Astral Repository is a magical storage and automation mod built around interconnected crystals, visible logistics, and powerful crafting automation.

Instead of running cables through your walls or building a giant digital storage system, you create an Astral network throughout your workshop. Storage Crystals hold resources, Relay Crystals extend the network, Storage Nexuses provide centralized access, and configurable runes move resources between inventories.

The goal is simple: provide the convenience and power of a late-game storage and logistics system while still feeling like something that belongs in a magical Minecraft world.

✦ Magical Networked Storage

Place a Storage Nexus near your workshop and it will discover nearby inventories and Astral storage.

Open the Nexus to browse resources across the network through one centralized interface, complete with:

• Searchable network storage
• Normal inventory interactions
• Manual crafting directly from stored resources
• Automatic crafting requests
• Individual crafting-job tracking and cancellation
• Multiple Storage Nexuses connected to the same network

Need more reach? Place Relay Crystals to extend your network throughout your base.

Connections automatically follow the shortest available loaded route, either traveling directly between nearby endpoints or hopping between relays.

✦ Astral Storage Crystals

Astral Storage Crystals provide dedicated high-capacity storage without traditional slot limitations.

Their contents remain inside the crystal when it is broken and moved, making them useful as both permanent storage and portable infrastructure.

Storage and Relay Crystals can also be upgraded while retaining the visual identity of the network.

✦ Rune-Based Logistics

Automate inventories using programmable magical runes instead of cables and pipes.

Runes can:

• Push resources out of inventories
• Pull resources into inventories
• Filter what a container is allowed to receive
• Target individual containers
• Target entire Astral networks
• Control transfer amounts and timing
• Work with items, fluids, energy, and supported magical resources

Runes are placed directly onto container faces and can be configured using the Astral programming tools.

Create reusable rune presets with their own icons, colors, filters, and behavior, then rapidly deploy them throughout your workshop.

Hold Shift to inspect rune information, or wear Astral Goggles to keep network information visible while you work.

✦ Powerful Autocrafting

Astral Repository's autocrafting system is designed to make complex automation powerful without making setup tedious.

Recipes are taught using Recipe Tomes.

Choose a recipe from your inventory, EMI, or JEI, inscribe it into a tome, and place that tome inside a vanilla Chiseled Bookshelf.

The network can then automatically determine the crafting steps needed to produce the final item.

That means a complicated product requiring many intermediate recipes does not require manually configuring every crafting stage.

Let the Repository figure out the steps.

Crafting jobs can detect missing ingredients, wait for resources to become available, and automatically resume afterward.

Astral Repository doesn't simply generate crafting results behind the scenes.

Automation can interact with actual processing blocks, including:

The system coordinates real storage and processing endpoints throughout the network.

Your network doesn't need to stay tied to one room.

With the Astral Nexus and network upgrades, you can access Astral storage remotely and eventually bridge networks across greater distances and dimensions.

✦ Astral Geodes

Astral Repository introduces naturally generated Astral Geodes containing the crystals needed to begin building your network.

Astral materials feature a blue-amethyst-inspired appearance with:

• Purple crystalline interiors
• Depth-based visual effects
• Subtle parallax
• Drifting crystalline particles
• Configurable transparency

Astral Gems can also be used with every vanilla smithing trim pattern, creating glowing Astral armor trims without replacing the appearance of the armor itself.

✦ Getting Started

Your first Astral workshop is simple:

1. Find an Astral Geode and collect Astral Gems.
2. Craft a Storage Nexus.
3. Place it near your chests, barrels, or other storage.
4. Add Relay Crystals when you need to extend the network.
5. Create Recipe Tomes and place them in Chiseled Bookshelves to teach the network recipes.
6. Use programmable runes to automate movement between machines and storage.

From there, the network can grow naturally alongside your base.

Astral Repository is maintained across multiple Minecraft and loader versions, including builds for:
