✨ What is it?

Astral Weapons is a soft, colorful magic mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1. Wishes fall from the sky: ancient souls shaped like glowing drops that grant a temporary power to whoever they touch. With their essences you craft relic weapons, the Magic Pillow and a compass that leads you to more wishes. But in the dark, the Archons are waiting: beings that live off your fear.

🌠 Wishes

Every so often a wish falls near you. If it doesn't reach anyone, it dissolves and leaves an essence behind. There are 15 colors, each with its own power:

🟢 Green More health, regeneration, grows nearby crops and heals animals
🔴 Red Extra attack and armor, fire immunity, everything you hit burns
🟡 Yellow Speed, night vision, a trail of light, and lightning arcs between enemies
🟣 Violet Slow falling, huge jumps, a living-creature radar, and dodges projectiles
🔵 Blue Breathe underwater, swim like a dolphin, heal in water and rain
⚪ White Walk on water by freezing it, and freeze nearby enemies
🩷 Pink Nearby animals fall in love and breed, heals allies and pets
🟠 Orange Haste III and a 30% chance to double block drops
🩵 Cyan (Courage) Immune to the Archons' fear and deals double damage to them
🩶 Silver (Aegis) Huge armor and reflects damage back to attackers
💚 Lime (Gale) High jumps, feather fall, and the wind pushes enemies away
💜 Magenta (Arcane) Attracts experience orbs, and your hits curse enemies
🌟 Golden (rare, daytime) Huge health, attack and armor, double experience
🌑 Dark (rare, nighttime) Huge attack and speed, steals life, but you lose 4 hearts
🌈 Rainbow (ultra rare) Only falls during Wish Showers and gives you 3 random powers at once

Each night there is also a small chance of a Wish Shower: for 30 seconds, many wishes of every color fall. When you have several wishes active at once, Astral Harmony grants extra bonuses (shield, resistance, regeneration and strength).

🏛️ Altars and mini-temples

Rare stone and quartz mini-temples generate across the world, each with a loot chest (essences, amethyst and gold). At the center stands a Wish Altar:

  • Right-click it with an essence and its power stays with you indefinitely, wherever you go, until you take it back.
  • Only the owner (or an operator) can take the essence back with a right-click.
  • You can carry the altar to your base and place several of them to stack powers.

⚔️ Relic weapons

Indestructible weapons crafted shapeless from essences. Four classics and seven new ones:

  • 🩵 Blade of Courage · ☀️ Spear of Dawn · 🌑 Eclipse Scythe · 🛡️ Aegis Axe · ❄️ Glacial Scepter · 🍃 Gale Dagger · 🔮 Arcane Wand

Each has a right-click ability, and their abilities never harm animals, villagers, pets or players.

😴 Magic Pillow

A single item with 4 powers depending on the armor slot it is worn in: protective hug (head), floating nap and sleep (chest), a 162-slot magic pocket that absorbs nearby items (legs), and a travel cloud you can fly on (feet).

👁️ The Archons

Beings that take the shape of your fears (darkness, heights, drowning, fire, venom) and feed on your terror. They teleport behind you when you aren't looking, heal when you're afraid, and are weakened by light. They have 70 health and hit hard. The Courage wish and the new weapons are designed to stand up to them. They drop valuable essences.

🧭 Wish Compass

Shows the color, distance and direction of the nearest wish and leaves a trail of sparkles.

⚙️ Configuration

File config/astral-common.toml: wish frequency, fall height, maximum simultaneous wishes, shower chance, power duration multiplier, whether the pillow protects (handy for PvP servers), pocket radius and cloud speed.

🎮 Commands (operators)

  • /astral wish <color>: makes a wish fall on you.
  • /astral shower: starts a Wish Shower.
  • /locate structure astral:altar_shrine: finds the nearest mini-temple.
