DESCRIPTION

This datapack adds a brand new category of weaponry to play around with: Arcane staffs. Each one is charged with a different element, and possess two spells each, one casted by left clicking, and one casted by right clicking. Each staff is crafted using two sticks, two items relevant to the desired elemental staff, and a nether star. More information on each staff can be found below.

CURRENT FEATURES

INFERNO STAFF

Wield the power of fire with the Inferno Staff! By crafting an arcane staff with Blaze Powder as its elemental ingredient, the Inferno Staff can cast two spells:

• LEFT CLICK: Meteor: Summon a falling fireball 50 blocks above a targeted area within 20 blocks.
• RIGHT CLICK: Blaze: Summon a line of falling fire charges up to 10 blocks ahead. This also gives 10 seconds of Fire Resistance.

BLIZZARD STAFF

Wield the power of ice with the Blizzard Staff! By crafting an arcane staff with Packed Ice as its elemental ingredient, the Blizzard Staff can cast two spells:

• LEFT CLICK: Freeze: Shoot a blast of ice to a targeted area within 32 blocks. Mobs within this area will take 2 freezing damage and become unable to move via Slowness for 3 seconds. Mobs already slowed are unaffected by this.
• RIGHT CLICK: Shatter: Deal 2 freezing damage to all mobs within an 8 block radius. Triple this damage if the enemy has Slowness, but also remove the Slowness if so. Has a cooldown of 10 seconds.

VOLTAIC STAFF

Wield the power of lightning with the Voltaic Staff! By crafting an arcane staff with any Lightning Rod as its elemental ingredient, the Voltaic Staff can cast two spells:

• LEFT CLICK: Strike: Strike lightning in a plus shape onto a targeted area within 16 blocks.
• RIGHT CLICK: Charge: Deal 3 lightning damage to all mobs within a 5 block radius 5 times. Active for 5 seconds, then goes on cooldown for 5 seconds. This also gives 5 seconds of Swiftness 4.

Custom advancements can be earned by using each of the staffs' right click spell.

More staffs are planned to be added in the future! Release time TBD, but stay tuned for them!

The staffs may receive balance changes in future patches if they are deemed overpowered or underpowered.
