Attribute Swap Fix

This is a mod that brings back attribute swapping (a.k.a. swap hitting) for PVP. Switch to another weapon and your next hit lands right away — no waiting for the attack cooldown to recharge.

Why

In Minecraft 26.2 pre-release 2, Mojang accidentally removed attribute swapping. In the snapshot after that the change was reverted, but Mojang said they'd get around to fixing attribute swapping properly later on. This mod is just my idea of how that fix could work — there are probably other ways to do it, but this is mine. ;)

Dependencies

Supported Versions

Features

• Swap to another weapon and immediately land a follow-up hit — no cooldown wait
• Your swapped-to weapon keeps its full enchantments and can still crit and sweep
• Charge weapons like the Mace and Spear can swing right after a swap
• Chain swaps together for fast back-to-back hits
• The attack indicator shows your swap timing, so you always know your window
• A little marker flashes when you land a swap hit, and particles pop on the target you hit
• Fully configurable in-game with the /asf command
• Works in singleplayer and on servers (install it on both the client and the server for multiplayer)

Configuration

Everything is configured in-game with the /asf command:

• Turn the whole feature on or off
• Change how long the swap window lasts
• View or set any option on the fly
