Description

🌌 AuroraMedia (Fabric 1.20.1)

AuroraMedia is a powerful media-control mod designed for Minecraft servers. It allows administrators to trigger fullscreen videos and music for specific players using simple, server-side commands.

Whether you are hosting a massive event, creating immersive roleplay cutscenes, or making important server announcements, AuroraMedia provides the tools to synchronize media playback seamlessly across your community.

🚀 Main Features

  • Fullscreen Cinema Experience: Play videos directly on the players' screens.

  • Synchronized Audio: High-quality music playback through command flow.

  • Precision Targeting: Send media to a single player, a group, or the entire server.

  • Automated Flow: Sessions handle fullscreen transitions automatically and return players to normal gameplay once the media ends.

  • Advanced Controls: Options to block player controls or prevent skipping during cinematic moments.

  • Branded UI: Integrated AuroraMedia interface and icons for a polished look.

🛠️ Supported Media

  • YouTube: Support for standard YouTube links.

  • Direct URLs: External media links (e.g., .mp4, .webm, .ogg, etc.).

  • Server-Driven: All playback is controlled via server commands.

📝 Commands

Note: Admin commands require Permission Level 2 (Operator).

Command Description
/playvideo <targets> <volume> <url> [lock] [skip] Plays a fullscreen video.
/playmusic <targets> <volume> <url> [lock] [skip] Plays background music.
/playgovideo [...] Advanced playback with modes, positions, and transitions.
/stopvideo <targets> Stops active video sessions.
/stopmusic <targets> Stops active music sessions.
/auroramedia Public info command (Available to everyone).

🧱 Requirements & Dependencies

To ensure AuroraMedia works correctly, you MUST install these dependencies on both the Client and the Server:

  1. Minecraft: 1.20.1

  2. Mod Loader: Fabric Loader (>= 0.16.10)

  3. API: Fabric API (0.92.x or higher)

  4. Java: Java 17

  5. Media Backend: WATERMeDIA (2.1.37) [MANDATORY]

  6. YouTube Extension: WATERMeDIA: Youtube Plugin [REQUIRED for YouTube]

⚙️ Installation

  1. Download and install Fabric Loader for 1.20.1.

  2. Drop AuroraMedia.jar into your mods folder.

  3. Add Fabric API, WATERMeDIA, and the YouTube Plugin to the mods folder.

  4. Ensure all players have the same mods installed to see/hear the media.

  5. Launch the game/server using Java 17.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Synchronization: If a player is missing WATERMeDIA or the YouTube Plugin on their client, they will not see or hear the media.

  • Compatibility: AuroraMedia uses a reflective bridge to communicate with the WATERMeDIA API, ensuring better stability.

  • Performance: Media quality depends directly on the source (YouTube bitrate or host server speed).
