Description
Auto Restore Skin
Auto Restore Skin (ARS) is a client-side Minecraft mod that restores missing player skins from alternative launchers and skin services.
The goal is simple:
See the skin that the player actually uses — regardless of where that skin comes from.

✨ Features
🌐 Multiple Skin Sources
ARS supports multiple skin providers:
- Mojang
- Ely.by
- TLauncher
When a player joins a world or a multiplayer server, ARS automatically detects the appropriate skin source and restores the correct skin.
This allows players using alternative launchers to appear with their intended skins instead of the default Minecraft skin.
👤 Player Restoration
ARS supports multiple player profile types, including:
- Standard Minecraft accounts
- Alternative launcher accounts
- Offline-style profiles
- Players whose skins are unavailable through Mojang's services
The mod automatically resolves and restores skins in-game.
🧑🤝🧑 NPC Support
Some multiplayer servers use NPCs that don't behave like normal Minecraft players.
ARS can also restore skins for supported NPC profiles.
🌍 World Storage
World Storage keeps track of skins discovered in the current world.
Benefits include:
- Reduced repeated downloads
- Faster skin loading
- World-specific skin history
🗂️ Skin Management
ARS includes an in-game interface for browsing and managing discovered skins.
Available sections:
- Log
- World
The interface supports:
- Searching
- Selecting entries
- Viewing skin information
- Managing stored data
🔎 Skin Information

The information panel displays:
- Player name
- UUID
- Skin source
- Skin name
- Skin status
- Skin preview
This makes it easier to identify where a skin comes from.
🗑️ Skin Deletion

Users can:
- Delete individual skins
- Remove all skins from a world
This provides direct control over stored skin data.
⭐ Skin Storage
Skin Storage will be available starting with version 1.1.
Stored information includes:
- Player name
- UUID
- Skin name
- Skin source
- Skin status
- Stored image
❤️ Favorites
Favorites will be available in Skin Storage.
This feature allows users to mark important skins for easier organization and access.
⚡ Local Caching
ARS uses local caching to avoid downloading the same skin repeatedly.
This improves loading performance and reduces unnecessary network requests.
🛠️ Commands
/ars open log
Open the skin log.
/ars open world
Open World Storage.
/ars open skins
Open Skin Storage.
/ars refresh_cache
Refresh the skin cache.
📦 Compatibility
- Minecraft 26.1.2+
- Fabric
- Client-side only
❤️ Why Auto Restore Skin?
Minecraft's default skin system only supports skins provided through Mojang's infrastructure.
Many multiplayer servers include players whose skins come from alternative launchers or third-party skin services.
ARS restores those missing skins and makes them visible again.
Your skin shouldn't disappear just because your launcher is different.
