Description
The barren plain stretched onward, vast beyond reckoning, unto the very edge of the horizon an illomened monument standing sentinel over the extinguished glory of some antediluvian age, where only the ruins of the "Empire" yet loomed, terrible in their magnitude.
The earth below lay black as the void between the stars, stained with the blood of untold centuries, and veiled beneath a shroud of ceaseless ash that fell without end a pallid, unnatural snow that smothered the sun and left the land in perpetual gloom. This was no mere wasteland, but the residue of history itself: a scripture inscribed in treachery and the wreckage of some war fought in an age before ages. Here, vengeance, anguish beyond comprehension, and the last deranged fragments of hope had fused together and burned, until all that remained were blackened stumps pitiful, charred remnants of what once had been.
Among the living and the dead alike, every soul in that place had been reduced to the same wretched communion: the Eyeless. Their sockets gaped, hollow as bottomless abysses, dark wounds without end. Some had had their eyes seared away by the apocalyptic fires of ages past; others had taken the blade to their own sight, unable to bear witness any longer to the horror of shattered expectation laid bare before them.
They wandered without purpose amid the ruin, like specters bound by some curse to a cycle from which there was no release.
Some were filled with a hope so deluded, so hollow, that it betrayed nothing but the feeble wit of fools.
Some dreamed, in their sin, that they were purifiers of some sacred order.
Others believed themselves saviors of the lost, liberators of trapped souls.
And from these twisted spirits, given form and voice, was born a belief most aberrant turning, ever turning, in a wheel that knows no end.
This mod support for epicfight, Better combat (weapons)
