Description
Balanced Villager Trades
Balanced Villager Trades adds 295 new, survival-friendly trades across all 13 vanilla villager professions and all five career levels. Vanilla trades are preserved.
It is designed for players who want large amounts of common building and utility materials without spending hours mining or searching distant biomes. The pack expands villager trading while avoiding cheap diamond, netherite, elytra, mace, totem, and other end-game loot.
Highlights
- 295 unique new trades across all 13 trading professions.
- Trades on novice, apprentice, journeyman, expert, and master levels.
- Guaranteed novice mason trade: 1 emerald → 32 dirt.
- Bulk dirt, cobblestone, sand, gravel, deepslate, wood, glass, wool, terracotta, concrete powder, Nether materials, food, mob drops, and more.
- Useful item-for-item exchanges shown in one normal payment slot.
- Existing vanilla trades remain available.
- No tick functions and no terrain-generation changes.
- Server-side datapack: joining players do not install it separately.
- No mods, Fabric API, libraries, or resource pack required.

Getting the dirt trade
Place a stonecutter next to an adult, unemployed villager that has never been traded with. The villager becomes a mason. Its novice offers include the guaranteed 1 emerald → 32 dirt trade.
Important information
- Made for Minecraft: Java Edition 26.2 (data pack format 107.1).
- New villagers are recommended. Trades already saved on a locked villager are
not rewritten by
/reload. - An unlocked villager can reroll novice offers when its workstation is broken and placed again before the first trade.
- Other mods or datapacks modifying the same villager trade tags or trade sets can cause conflicts.
reputation_discountis disabled for the new offers. Hero of the Village can still reduce the single-slot payment of some item exchanges.- The pack works with Fabric Loader but does not require Fabric API.
