About
Description
Barren is a mod that takes great inspiration from the game maps in Last Oasis. The terrain will follow that general design direction in updates, with the maps from the original game becoming procedurally generated biomes with their own terrain attributes and feature to accomodate minecraft gameplay features. In the future I hope to turn this into a fully fledged project that many people can enjoy.
It is recommended that you use Create and Create: aeronautics with this mod as the terrain is vast and traversing it on-foot would take ages. Also I recommend using Voxy or Distant Horizons.
Currently the mod offers a base desert biome in its own separate world type. No changes are made to the regular minecraft generation. You can customize and create settings presets, import and export them using the UI in the Customize tab next to the world type in the world creation screen. Play around with the settings, see how cursed you can get it to look.
The mod is in very early development stages, so no underground ores or actual survival compatability has been implemented yet, although you can try.
To generate a Barren type world: World creation screen --> world type --> set it to Barren
And that's all for now, Have fun!
