Description

🧭 BaseLocator

Looking for a base—or just curious what’s nearby? BaseLocator scans loaded chunks for containers, beds, useful blocks, villagers, and mobs, then uses those clues to point out possible base locations. 🏠

✨ Features

  • 🏠 Heuristic base detection with configurable scoring
  • 📦 Find containers and storage
  • 🛏️ Detect beds and useful blocks
  • 🧑‍🌾 Locate villagers and nearby mobs
  • ⚙️ Customize scan radius, detection threshold, and scan workload
  • 💬 Readable chat results and a clickable control panel
  • 🌍 Works in single-player and on Fabric servers
  • 🪶 No extra dependencies beyond Fabric API

⌨️ Commands

  • /baselocate help — 📖 show available commands
  • /baselocate panel — 🎛️ open the chat control panel
  • /baselocate status — 📊 view current settings
  • /baselocate scan [radius] — 🏠 look for possible base areas
  • /baselocate all [radius] — 🔎 scan for bases and points of interest
  • /baselocate containers|villagers|mobs|blocks [radius] — 🎯 scan a specific category
  • /baselocate set radius <n> — 📏 set the default scan radius
  • /baselocate set maxradius <n> — 🗺️ set the maximum radius
  • /baselocate set threshold <n> — 🎚️ adjust detection sensitivity
  • /baselocate set chunks <n> — ⚡ tune scan workload

⚠️ Good to know

BaseLocator only checks chunks that are already loaded—it does not force-load chunks. Base locations are estimates based on nearby blocks and entities, not proof that a player built there. Larger scans take longer and may increase server workload.
