Berry Cuisine
Hey you!
Yes, YOU!!
Have you ever been looking down at your Geodude enjoying its Oran Berries for lunch and thought to yourself, "It looks like it's enjoying its meal, so I should try some!" Well, I'm not sure if people should eat that stuff, but they are delicious, so go right ahead!!
This is a small addon for Cobblemon and Cuisine Delight which allows you to cook with berries in your Cuisine Skillet. That's it!
But the thing is... Berries are basically medicine, right? I mean, they have incredibly profound effects on Pokémon, so what might it do to you? POTION EFFECTS, THAT'S WHAT!
Most berries will give you a short-lived potion effect when you consume the food you make from them. I encourage you to experiment and discover these effects for yourself, but for a couple examples, Oran berries will give you a couple hearts of health back, and Rawst berries will give you 5 seconds of fire resistance! The exact effects applied are loosely based on the affects the berries have on Pokémon, or as close as I could get with vanilla effects. Some berries, therefore, will not give potion effects.
For cooking purposes, most of the berries are very easy to cook, but not very nutritious. For the few berries which do not give you potion effects, they are often more nutritious, but slightly harder to cook as well.
Future updates are no longer planned. I think I want to rebalance how long berries take to cook, but I'm too busy working on other stuff for my bigger project, Project GS Ball, which you should also check out! This datapack was originally created for PGS, but I figured there's probably like two other people out there who would appreciate this, and if nothing else, maybe it'll be a good example for people wanting to make their own cuisine delight compat packs. :P
